Why not YOU?
You have been called to follow Christ.
Bought and paid for, redeemed and adopted. As a follower of Christ, you are Spirit-filled – a child of God. You came from the harvest, but now work in the harvest field. This is your first and highest calling.
But have you been called to plant a church? Do you have the apostolic calling of a church-planter? Has Christ called you to join Him in the work of church-planting?
If you are asking the question, “Why not me?” It is at least one of the indicators that God may have wired you to plant churches. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus makes it clear that He is the one to build the Church, but He does so through His disciples as they are led along by the Holy Spirit. In the past God used Peter, Paul, Silas, Timothy, Lydia, Titus, Philip, Priscilla and Aquila among many others to help in the task of church planting.
Why not you?
Church planting is one of the most exciting, rewarding and God honoring ways you could spend your life because church planters help advance the Kingdom of God and prepare the Bride of Christ, that is the Church, for the day when she will be made spotless on the day of Christ’s return.
